BC HYDRO ENERGY CONNECTIONS – Grade 6/7 teachers

BC Hydro’s Energy Connections has been updated to support and align with the new Grade 7 Science curriculum, including a focus on inquiry-based activities and the core competencies of 21st Century learning.   

Teachers with a permanent class receive materials to teach electromagnetism, electrical safety, methods of generating electricity and conservation, including:

• Teacher Resource Guide with 14 lesson plans and black-line masters
• Class set of student handbooks with various activities
• Colour poster highlighting provincial landmarks and electrical safety concepts
• Electromagnetism kit with all the materials needed for hands-on activities – ONE per school
• Take-home activities that support and reinforce  electrical safety messages
